    Calcium carbonate antacid - chewable pills

    Mylanta Usage: it drug is an antacid used to relieve upset stomach, heartburn or gas caused by stomach acid.

    How to use Mylanta: Take this by mouth as directed. Chew thoroughly & swallow. do not swallow the pills whole. Follow each dose with a full glass about water. do not increase dose or take it more often than prescribed. If you feel your dose is not effective, consult youre doctor.

    Mylanta side effects: this drug is generally well tolerated. Constipation or stomach cramps may occur. Notify your pharmacist if they continue or become severe. Tell your doctor immediately if any about these serious side effects occur: loss of appetite, vomiting, dizziness, headache. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or physician.

    Mylanta Precautions: Before taking this, tell some your physician if you have: kidney disease, any allergies. Avoid taking more doses than recommended. this drug is considered safe since use during pregnancy or breast-feeding when used as directed.

    Mylanta drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any nonprescription or prescription pill you may take including: certain antibiotics (e.g., tetracyclines, quinolones), demeclocycline, methacycline, verapamil (a calcium channel blocker), quinidine, sodium polystyrene sulfonate, iron-containing products. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.

    Mylanta Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, tiredness, and weakness.

    Mylanta special notes: there various forms of this pill available. chewable tablets offer convenience but the liquid form is faster acting. chat to your health care provider or healthcare professional about the best product for you. If some your condition does not improve or worsens, contact your doctor or pharmacist. If your stools become dark in color or you vomit what looks like coffee grounds, contact your doctor as these may be signs of stomach bleeding

    If you missed Mylanta dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered do not take this if it is near the clock for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Mylanta Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture. don't store at bathroom.
