    Leuprolide monthly (7.5mg) - injection

    Eligard Usage: Leuprolide is synthetic hormone used at the treatment about prostate cancer at men.

    Eligard can be used also for: other brands & doses of leuprolide have also been used for breast & ovarian cancer, & to suppress early puberty at children.

    How to use Eligard: this tablet is given as an injection under the skin (SC) & must be used under close medical supervision. Inject this med in to a different area each month. it product slowly releases medication in to bloodstream and is given at various intervals. dosing frequency depends on which product was prescribed by your doctor. If you are directed to inject this pill yourself, make sure you know exactly how to use it & how often. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you uncertain or have any questions. Allow product to reach room temperature before using. one time mixed, product must be given within 30 minutes. If not injected within 30 minutes, throw the product out & prepare another syringe/dose. do not stop using it medication without your doctor's permission. Learn how to store & discard needles & medical supplies safely. Consult youre healthcare professional.

    Eligard side effects: this medication may cause hot flashes, night sweats; bone, joint or muscle pain; reduced sexual desire or function, mental/mood changes, dizziness, weight gain, inflamed gums, upset stomach, hair loss, trouble swallowing, persistent pain at injection site, acne or difficulty urinating. Notify your healthcare professional promptly if these symptoms persist or worsen. Notify your doctor promptly if you develop any of next symptoms: unusual weakness, abdominal pain, swelling or pain in breast, testicular or prostate pain (men). Tell youre healthcare professional immediately if any of it highly unlikely but very serious side effect occur: back pain. in the unlikely part you have an allergic reaction to this pill, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or physician.

    Eligard Precautions: Before using this medication, tell your physician you're medical history, especially of: urinary problems, bone diseases, cancer/lesions of spine, any allergies you may have. Limit alcohol intake, as it may intensify drug side effects. Caution is advised when performing tasks requiring alertness (e.g., driving), as this drug may cause dizziness. some patients may experience worsening of symptoms during the 1st weeks about therapy with leuprolide. Symptoms such as bone pain, numbness or tingling at hands or feet, bloody urine, inability to urinate, or back pain. If these symptoms persist or worsen, contact your physician immediately. Leuprolide should not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform youre healthcare professional immediately. Discuss birth control methods with youre physician. this is not known if leuprolide is excreted into breast milk. Because effects about leuprolide on a nursing infant are unknown, do not breast-feed. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Eligard drug interactions: Tell your doctor about all over-the-counter & prescription medication you may use including: megestrol, flutamide. Certain lab tests may be affected by this drug. Inform every you're healthcare providers you use it drug. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.

    Eligard Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Eligard special notes: Lab tests will be done periodically to monitor your progress.

    If you missed Eligard dose: it is very important you do not miss any doses. However, if you do miss dose, contact youre doctor promptly to establish new schedule.

    Eligard Storage: Refrigerate between 36 & 46 degrees F (2-8 degrees C). After mixing, discard any unused solution. don't freeze. Keep all medicines away from children & pets.

    Medical alert: your condition may cause complications in medical emergency.
