Pindolol Usage: this medication is used for chest pain (angina), high blood pressure and irregular heartbeats.
How to use Pindolol: Take this tablet exactly as prescribed. Try to take it at same times each day. do not suddenly stop taking this drug with out consulting your pharmacist. few conditions may become worse when drug is suddenly stopped.
Pindolol side effects: You may experience dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, & blurred vision as your body adjusts to the medication. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. Because beta-blockers may reduce blood circulation to extremities, your hands and feet may be cold. Dress warm. Inform your doctor if you develop: simple bruising or bleeding, swollen hands or feet, confusion, depression, sore throat. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek doctor attention immediately. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or pharmacist.
Pindolol Precautions: Before taking this drug, tell your physician if you have history of: heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, any another lung disease, diabetes, overactive thyroid gland, any tablet allergies. Before having surgery, tell the pharmacist or dentist in charge that you are taking a beta-blocker. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare professional. it drug is excreted in to breast milk and though no problems have been noted, possibility for adverse effects to the infant exists. Consult youre physician before breast-feeding.
Pindolol med interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of every prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially about: diuretics, cold preparations & nasal decongestants, reserpine, other heart or high blood pressure medications, St John's wort. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Pindolol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include unusually fast or slow heartbeat, dizziness, slow or shallow breathing, seizures, unconsciousness, weakness, or fatigue.
Pindolol special notes: your doctor may want you to take some your pulse each day while you take this medication. Learn how to monitor your pulse.
If you missed Pindolol dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered but not if Its within 4 hours of next dose (8 hours for penbutolol, atenolol, nadolol). If It's, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Pindolol Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
