Cheracol D Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. it combination medication is used to treat cough associated with common cold, allergies and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Cheracol D: Take it med as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed. Capsules and long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. don't crush or chew them. long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased.
Cheracol D side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur 1st some days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop any of these effects while taking it med: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this med makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or healthcare professional.
Cheracol D Precautions: Tell your doctor you're medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts of this med found in breast milk, consult you're physician before breast-feeding.
Cheracol D medication interactions: Tell your physician about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). don't start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Cheracol D Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.
Cheracol D special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this med. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Cheracol D dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near the time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Cheracol D Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
