Cheracol Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Codeine is used to quiet cough. it combination medication is used to control cough & congestion associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Cheracol: Take this medication with food if stomach upset occurs. Take this drug as directed. do not increase dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. it is strong cough medication & must only be used for condition & by the human for which It's prescribed. this should not be used for just any cough. it is helpful to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Cheracol side effects: Drowsiness, constipation, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, dizziness or headache may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the pill. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your healthcare professional. Notify you're doctor if you develop: skin rash, itching, rapid heart rate. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Cheracol Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), substance abuse, allergies (especially to narcotics). Because this pill may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. since Its not known if this pill is found in breast milk; consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Cheracol drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotic pain relievers, sleeping pills, seizure med, muscle relaxants, drugs for depression, cimetidine, quinidine. do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or physician approval.
Cheracol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slowed breathing, drowsiness, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, cold & clammy skin, dry mouth, & slow pulse.
Cheracol special notes: don't share it product with others.
If you missed Cheracol dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' doses.
Cheracol Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & heat. do not store in bathroom.
