Entab DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. this combination med is used to treat a cough associated with the common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Entab DM: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase you're dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules and long-acting pills must be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased.
Entab DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur 1'st several days as you're body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking it medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this medication makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.
Entab DM Precautions: Tell youre doctor you're medical history, especially about: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with some your doctor. for small amounts of this medication are found in breast milk, consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Entab DM medication interactions: Tell you're physician of any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Entab DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.
Entab DM special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Entab DM dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the clock for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Entab DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
