Prentif Cavity Rim Cerv Cap Usage: it reusable barrier device is used, with a spermicidal cream or jelly, to prevent pregnancy. it is flexible, rubber, cup-like device that fits over entrance to the cervix preventing sperm from fertilizing an egg.

How to use Prentif Cavity Rim Cerv Cap: Follow every instructions for proper insertion, removal, & care/cleaning of this device. If any of information is unclear, consult your physician. Before using, money it product visually for any holes, tears, or cracks. If any of these defects present, do not use the product. Before using, urinate and than wash your hands thoroughly. Before inserting this device into vagina, fill cervical cap one-third full with spermicidal cream or jelly. Insert it device into vagina & position it properly around you're cervix as directed by you're physician. this medical device should be left in place for at least 8 hours after intercourse. this product may be left in place for up to 2 days (48 hours) at a time. this is not necessary to use additional spermicide with repeated intercourse during this two day clock period. After removal from the vagina, clean it device with mild, non-perfumed soap, rinse with warm water, dry and store in original container. don't use oil-based or greasy products (e.g., cocoa butter, petroleum jelly, mineral oil) on this device. Doing so could harm this product. If you are currently using any vaginal medications (e.g., creams, ointments), complete your treatment with these drugs before using this device. it is recommended that an alternative method of birth control (e.g., condoms, spermicide) be used if you have intercourse during youre menstrual period. this product isnot recommended since use during you're menstrual period. If you notice any pain or discomfort after inserting device or during or after intercourse, contact some your physician promptly. Also, if device does not fit properly (snuggly around the base of the cervix) or becomes loose during intercourse or while walking, coughing, or straining, contact your doctor promptly. this is recommended that you have this product checked & refitted after childbirth and/or at your annual pelvic exam.

Prentif Cavity Rim Cerv Cap side effects: Vaginal/cervical discomfort may occur. If this effect persists or worsens, notify your doctor promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: vaginal odor or discharge, odor when the device is removed, stomach/abdominal pain. If you notice following unlikely but serious side effects of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS), remove device and seek immediate doctor attention: high fever, at least one another symptom of TSS (e.g., vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, fainting or lightheadedness, sore throat, muscle weakness, joint pain, sunburn-like rash, eye redness). Promptly tell your pharmacist if you or youre sexual partner experiences any burning/irritation/discomfort during sex while you using this product. it may mean that you are not properly fitted for this device. An allergic reaction to this product or spermicide used along with this product is highly unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

Prentif Cavity Rim Cerv Cap Precautions: this device is not recommended for use if you have following medical conditions: history about toxic shock syndrome (TSS), abnormal Pap smears, history of certain cancers (e.g., cervical or uterine cancer), vaginal or cervical infection, currently experiencing any menstrual bleeding (including your regular menstrual period), recent childbirth, recent miscarriage or abortion. Tell you're doctor your medical history, especially of: unusual vaginal bleeding (e.g., irregular periods), any allergies. Prior to using this product, consult youre doctor if you breast-feeding.

Prentif Cavity Rim Cerv Cap medication interactions: Tell your doctor about all prescription & nonprescription med you may use, especially: vaginal medications (e.g., creams, ointments). do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.

Prentif Cavity Rim Cerv Cap Storage: Store in original container at room temperature between 56 & 86 degrees F (13 to 30 degrees C) & away from light and moisture. Thoroughly clean and rinse it product as directed between uses.
