Re Azo Usage: this med is used to relieve pain, burning & discomfort of the urinary tract.
How to use Re Azo: Take it with food or after meals to prevent stomach upset. for urinary tract infections, this medication must be used for only 2 days when used in combination with an antibiotic pill. Length about therapy for phenazopyridine alone is usually less than 15 days.
Re Azo side effects: this pill can cause stomach upset, headache, or dizziness. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. this medication causes urine to turn orange-red in color. this isn't harmful. the color change will disappear when the medication is stopped. Notify your healthcare professional if you experience: weakness. in unlikely episode you have an allergic reaction to it medication, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Re Azo Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially: kidney or liver disease, any allergies. If this pill makes you dizzy, avoid driving or taking part in activities requiring alertness. Phenazopyridine may cause staining of contact lenses. do not wear contacts while taking this med. Before using phenazopyridine, tell your pharmacist if you pregnant. it is not known if phenazopyridine is excreted into breast milk. While, to date, there have been no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult some your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Re Azo medication interactions: Tell you're physician of every the medicines you may use (both prescription & nonprescription), especially: every pain medications. Phenazopyridine can interfere with certain laboratory tests, including urine tests for glucose (sugar) and ketones. Diabetics should use Clinitest to test their urine for sugar because phenazopyridine does not affect It's results. Before you have any laboratory tests, tell the laboratory personnel and doctor that you take it tablet. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.
Re Azo Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unusual tiredness, skin color changes, decrease in amount of urine; or yellowing of skin or eyes.
Re Azo special notes: do not share this med with others.
If you missed Re Azo dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if this is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.
Re Azo Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
