Panoxyl Usage: Benzoyl peroxide is used to treat mild to moderate acne.
How to use Panoxyl: this drug is for topical use on affected region only. Avoid using it in eyes, mouth & nose, & on inflamed or damaged skin. liquid wash or bar soap is used instead of soap once or 2 times day. Wet the skin before applying this. Gently work up a lather & rinse thoroughly. do not scrub the skin. Creams, lotions or gels are usually applied once or twice a day to affected region. very small amount is applied to the affected area & rubbed in gently. Pads: Wash affected area of skin with mild cleanser and water then dry it. following apply pad, usually 1 time or twice a day to the skin as directed.
Panoxyl side effects: Slight stinging, dryness & peeling may occur initially. Expect this. However, notify your doctor if next effects occur: redness, irritation, scaly eruptions, rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or doctor.
Panoxyl Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially: other skin problems, any allergies. this drug may bleach hair & colored clothing. Avoid contact. Safe use about benzoyl peroxide in child under 12 years old has not been established. Benzoyl peroxide should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with some your healthcare professional. Its not known if this drug is excreted in to breast milk. Though their have no reports (to date) about harm to nursing infants, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Panoxyl tablet interactions: Tell some your doctor of every medicines you may use, both prescription and nonprescription, especially: other skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Panoxyl Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Panoxyl special notes: it medication is available in many forms such as lotion, cream, gel or cleanser and in various strengths (2.5% to 10%). some can be purchased without prescription. Discuss the various goods with some your pharmacist or physician to determine best one for you.
If you missed Panoxyl dose: Use missed dose as soon as you remember & resume your regular dosing schedule.
Panoxyl Storage: Store between 59 & 76 degrees F (15 & 24.4 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight.
