Acetaminophen/isometheptene/dichloralphenazone - oral

Midrin Usage: it tablet is used to relieve migraine & tension headaches.
How to use Midrin: Take it medication exactly as prescribed. don't increase your dose or take it more often than directed. for migraine headaches, take two capsules in 1st sign of an attack. then take one capsule every hour as needed until the headache is relieved. do not take more then three capsules in 12 hour period. at tension headaches, usually no more than 8 capsules a day are recommended. do not exceed the maximum dose prescribed. this pill contains acetaminophen. do not take more acetaminophen than recommended (see Side Effects section).
Midrin side effects: Dizziness may occur as your body adjusts to the med. If this effect continues or becomes bothersome, inform your doctor. If you don't have liver problems, the adult maximum dose of acetaminophen is 4 grams per day (4000 milligrams). If you take more than maximum daily amount, it can cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. Tell you're doctor immediately if you have any of the following symptoms about liver damage: severe nausea, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach pain, extreme fatigue. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare attention if this occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Midrin Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: heart disease, glaucoma, kidney disease, liver disease, HBP, allergies (especially drug allergies). it product contains acetaminophen. Acetaminophen can cause liver damage. daily use of alcohol, especially when combined with acetaminophen, may increase you're risk for liver damage. money with youre pharmacist or pharmacist for more info. this medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. for small amounts of this medication found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Midrin med interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take or have recently taken, including: antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). Acetaminophen is an ingredient in much of nonprescription products & in some combination prescription medications. Read labels carefully before taking other pain relievers, fever reducers, or cold products to see if they also contain acetaminophen. Consult youre physician if you are uncertain if your other prescription or nonprescription products contain acetaminophen. (Also see maximum daily dose information in Side Effects section). do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Midrin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe nausea, vomiting, yellowing eyes or skin, stomach pain, dark urine, extreme fatigue, headache, agitation, low body temperature, rapid and shallow breathing, unusually rapid or slow heartbeat, & unresponsiveness.
Midrin special notes: Use caution while driving or doing tasks requiring alertness as this med may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Notify your pharmacist if this medication fails to relieve youre headaches.
If you missed Midrin dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the clock for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Midrin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
