Phenavent Ped Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Phenylephrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. it combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Phenavent Ped: Take this medication by mouth. pills must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. do not increase dose or take this more often or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
Phenavent Ped side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the 1st several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're pharmacist. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this drug can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Phenavent Ped Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history about seizures. this pill should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risk & benefits with your healthcare professional. it isn't known if it pill appears in breast milk; consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Phenavent Ped drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may take including: sleeping meds, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, drug for depression, medication for HBP. Tell youre doctor if you have, in last 2 weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
Phenavent Ped Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, numbness about the fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.
Phenavent Ped special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Phenavent Ped dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if it is almost clock since the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Phenavent Ped Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
