Cromolyn Sodium Usage: this med is used to prevent asthma attacks. Its not effective in treating an attack once it begins. Cromolyn is also used just before exercising to minimize breathing problems & before exposure to pollutants or substances that cause allergic reactions/breathing problems.

How to use Cromolyn Sodium: this solution is placed in special nebulizer unit (breathing machine) & inhaled through mask. Ask your pharmacist or physician to demonstrate the proper way to use the nebulizer. it drug must be used routinely as directed to prevent asthma attacks. it isn't useful in stopping an attack in progress. do not use it more often, increase your dose or stop using this with-out first consulting you're doctor.

Cromolyn Sodium side effects: this pill may cause nasal stuffiness, nasal itching or burning, sneezing, or stomach pain first few days as youre body adjusts to medication. If these symptoms persist or worsen, inform your physician. Notify your physician if you experience: coughing, wheezing. in unlikely chapter you have an allergic reaction to this pill, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or healthcare professional.

Cromolyn Sodium Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional youre medical history, especially of: kidney or liver disease, any allergies. Tell you're physician if you pregnant before using it medication. It's not known if cromolyn is excreted at to breast milk. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.

Cromolyn Sodium pill interactions: Tell your pharmacist about any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may use, especially of: other asthma drugs. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

Cromolyn Sodium Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Cromolyn Sodium special notes: Cromolyn is also available as an aerosol spray & capsules, both for inhalation. do not share this medication with others.

If you missed Cromolyn Sodium dose: If you miss dose, use this as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Cromolyn Sodium Storage: Store the solution at room temperature below 86 degrees F (below 30 degrees C) away from heat and direct light. do not store in bathroom. Discard solution if it turns color or contains particles.
