Cetrotide Usage: Cetrorelix is used in wemen undergoing fertility treatments (controlled ovarian stimulation). it helps control the hormone levels that cause an egg to release from ovaries (prevents premature ovulation).
How to use Cetrotide: Learn how to prepare & inject the med and review cetrorelix patient information leaflet with your pharmacist or physician. Inject this medication under skin (subcutaneously) as directed by your healthcare professional. it is best given in the area of stomach/abdomen (around your navel). Cetrorelix can be given as either one-time, single dose or by using smaller doses once daily for some days. your dosage & length of treatment is based on your medical condition & response to therapy. Before using, cash it product visually for particles or discoloration. If either is present, don't use liquid. Learn how to store & discard needles and medical supplies safely. Consult your pharmacist.
Cetrotide side effects: Nausea; headache; or pain, redness, irritation, & itching at injection site may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify youre doctor. Tell you're pharmacist immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: swelling/pain/cramping of stomach (abdomen). If you notice any other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.
Cetrotide Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially about: any allergies (especially to hormones and/or mannitol). this medication must not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform youre physician immediately. this isn't known whether it pill passes into breast milk. Because about the potential risk to infant, breast-feeding while using this drug isn't recommended. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Cetrotide drug interactions: Tell your doctor of every prescription & nonprescription medication you may use, especially: other fertility medications. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or doctor approval.
Cetrotide Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Cetrotide special notes: do not share this medication with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed to monitor your progress.
If you missed Cetrotide dose: If you miss dose, contact youre healthcare professional to establish a new dosing schedule.
Cetrotide Storage: Store 3 mg strength at room temperature (77 degrees F/25 degrees C). Storage since brief periods between 59-86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) is permitted. Protect from light & moisture. Store 0.25 mg strength in refrigerator at 36-46 degrees F (2-8 degrees C). Protect from light.
