Z Cof LA Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. it combination med is used to treat a cough associated with common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Z Cof LA: Take it drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules and long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed and the chance about side effects will be increased.
Z Cof LA side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the first few days as some your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify your physician if you develop any of these effects while taking this med: skin rash, trouble breathing. If you missed Z Cof LA dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take this if this is near the time since the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Z Cof LA Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
