Numonyl Sr Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Phenylephrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Numonyl Sr: Take this drug by mouth. tablets should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this pill as directed. do not increase dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Numonyl Sr side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss about appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur 1st several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this drug can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.
Numonyl Sr Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risk & benefits with some your pharmacist. It's not known if it medication appears in breast milk; consult some your physician before breast-feeding.
Numonyl Sr drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, drug for high blood pressure. Tell your doctor if you have, in last two weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or pharmacist approval.
Numonyl Sr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually quick or slow heartbeat, numbness about fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.
Numonyl Sr special notes: don't share this product with others.
If you missed Numonyl Sr dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Numonyl Sr Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
