Alprazolam Usage: this pill has calming effect. It's used to relieve anxiety, nervousness and tension at the treatment of anxiety disorders & panic disorders.

How to use Alprazolam: Take this drug by mouth exactly as prescribed. don't take this more often, increase your dose or take this longer than directed without consulting your physician. do not suddenly stop taking this med if you have been taking it regularly for several weeks. your dose will need to be gradually decreased to prevent side effects.

Alprazolam side effects: Drowsiness, incoordination, headache, fatigue, change in sex drive, change in appetite, change in weight, difficulty urinating or stomach upset may occur 1st few days as your body adjusts to tablet. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. Notify your doctor if you develop: rapid/pounding/irregular heartbeat, skin rash, changes in vision, slurred speech, confusion, depression, behavioral changes. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.

Alprazolam Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: kidney problems, liver disease, glaucoma, muscle weakness, history of drug dependence, any allergies. this medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Use caution operating machinery or engaging in activities requiring alertness. Limit intake of alcohol while taking it medication since it may aggravate drowsiness and dizziness. Alprazolam is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult some your doctor before using it drug. it med passes into breast milk & may harm a nursing infant. Nursing while using alprazolam isn't recommended. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding. the elderly may be more sensitive to the effects of this medication & should use this medication carefully.

Alprazolam drug interactions: Tell you're healthcare professional about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you take, including: anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, narcotic pain relievers, erythromycin-like antibiotics, cimetidine, sleeping tablets, tranquilizers, azole antifungals (e.g., fluconazole). Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while using this med unless your physician instructs you otherwise. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.

Alprazolam Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include confusion, slow reflexes, clumsiness, deep sleep, & loss of consciousness.

Alprazolam special notes: this drug when used in high doses or since prolonged periods about time can lead to dependence. Therefore, It's important to follow some your dosing instructions closely.

If you missed Alprazolam dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Alprazolam Storage: Store this medication at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat, light & moisture. do not store in bathroom. Keep this & all drugs out of reach of children.
