Masanti Usage: this is an antacid that works in stomach to neutralize & reduce acid. Antacids are used to treat an upset stomach caused by heartburn, acid indigestion, or sour stomach; to treat peptic ulcer, hiatal hernia or other conditions caused by an excess about stomach acid; & to prevent ulcers or bleeding from ulcers.
How to use Masanti: Take this medication as prescribed. Taking too much an antacid can reverse effects & more acid will be secreted. at certain conditions, however, it may be necessary to take the antacid as frequently as every 1 to 2 hours. To be effective, chewable tablets must be chewed thoroughly before swallowing followed by a full glass of water. Shake liquid forms well before pouring each dose. do not take any other drug within 1 to two hours of taking an antacid. since antacids coat stomach, they can prevent other medications from being absorbed properly if taken in same clock.
Masanti side effects: this drug may cause nausea, loss of appetite, constipation or diarrhea, weakness, or headache. If these symptoms persist or become severe, notify your physician. Notify your pharmacist if you notice black, tarry stools while taking this tablet. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or doctor.
Masanti Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: kidney problems.
Masanti tablet interactions: Tell some your healthcare professional of all prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: tetracycline, ferrous sulfate (iron), medications used for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, indomethacin), digoxin, isoniazid, pseudoephedrine, diazepam, methenamine, ketoconazole. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Masanti Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, fatigue, weakness, severe nausea and vomiting, loss about appetite, drowsiness, slow or shallow breathing, or loss of consciousness.
Masanti special notes: Refrigerating liquid antacids may improve taste. do not freeze. If you dislike taste of one antacid, talk to your healthcare professional or physician about switching to similar product. liquid antacid forms work faster & are more effective than other forms. However, chewable tablets may be more convenient.
If you missed Masanti dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost clock for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Masanti Storage: Store tablets, capsules & powdered forms in room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store at the bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of this drug.
