Genetuss 2 Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses a cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. it combination med is used to treat cough & relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Genetuss two: this medication is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack. Swallow long acting tablets and capsules whole. do not crush or chew them because the long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased. Take this medication as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more many times than directed.
Genetuss 2 side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform you're physician. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Genetuss two Precautions: Tell some your physician your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any medication allergies. bucks this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Genetuss 2 drug interactions: Tell your physician about all prescription & nonprescription meds you use, especially: medication for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Genetuss 2 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements of eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or fast heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.
Genetuss 2 special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it medication. this will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Genetuss two dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if Its near clock for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Genetuss two Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
