Combination antibiotic & steroid - ophthalmic ointment

Cetapred Usage: this medication is used to treat or prevent eye infections.

How to use Cetapred: for best effect, this medication must be used routinely as directed. Continue using it for full time prescribed. Stopping this medication too soon may not clear the infection and could possibly result in reinfection. To apply ointment, wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch tip of the tube to some your hand or eye. Warm tube in you're hand before using. Tilt youre head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make pouch. Place tip of tube directly over the pouch and apply prescribed amount about ointment. Blink gently. do not rinse tip of the tube. Use clean tissue to wipe any excess from some your eye and from the tip of tube after using. If you are also using drops, be sure to instill drops at least 5 minutes prior to ointment. If you are using other kind of ointment, wait at least ten minutes before applying it to the eye. do not wear contact lenses while using this product.

Cetapred side effects: it med may temporarily sting some your eyes for minute or two when you 1st use this. If stinging persists or becomes bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after applying it ointment. Use caution when driving or performing duties that require clear vision. Notify you're pharmacist if you develop: skin rash, itching/red- ness/swelling at or around eyes, vision problems. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.

Cetapred Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: another eye problems, contact lens use, any allergies. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. Consult with you're physician before breast-feeding.

Cetapred drug interactions: Tell you're physician of every prescription & nonprescription medication you may use, especially: another eye medicine. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or physician approval.

Cetapred Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Cetapred special notes: If tube is 1st warmed in hand prior to use, ointment will flow more easily.

If you missed Cetapred dose: Apply the missed dose as soon as remembered unless it is nearly clock for next dose. If It's near clock for the next dose, skip missed dose & resume some your regular dosing schedule.

Cetapred Storage: Store it medication at room temperature away from heat & sunlight. Avoid freezing it.
