Clorpres Usage: Clonidine helps to widen arteries and veins so blood flows better. Chlorthalidone is diuretic (water pill) that helps rid body of excess fluid. this combination drug is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure).
How to use Clorpres: Take it medication exactly as prescribed. Try to take it at the same time each day. do not stop taking this medication without consulting some your healthcare professional. few conditions may become worse when the med is abruptly stopped. youre dose may need to be gradually decreased. It's important to continue taking this medication even if you feel well. most people with high blood pressure do not feel sick.
Clorpres side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, diarrhea, constipation, loss about appetite, nausea, loss of taste, flushing, fatigue, dry mouth or increased urination may occur first few days as your body adjusts to drug. Weight gain, loss of appetite, anxiety, nervousness, nightmares, decreased sexual desire or ability, trouble urinating & muscle pain may also occur. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit youre intake of alcoholic beverages and avoid overheating which will aggravate these effects. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, difficulty breathing, skin rash, tingling of hands or feet, jaundice (yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine). this pill can increase sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid prolonged sun exposure. Wear protective clothing and use sunscreen. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or doctor.
Clorpres Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, blood disorders, eye problems, allergies. this tablet should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with youre healthcare professional. since small amounts of this drug found in breast milk, consult some your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Clorpres drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take especially about: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Clorpres Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, weakness, dizziness, sleepiness, irritability, slow heartbeat, & slowed breathing.
Clorpres special notes: it is important to have youre blood pressure checked regularly while taking this medication. Learn how to take your blood pressure. Discuss this with your pharmacist or pharmacist.
If you missed Clorpres dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if it is near the clock for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Clorpres Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
