Desmopressin Acetate Usage: Desmopressin is used to reduce urination in certain cases (e.g., diabetes insipidus, surgery). this is also used to control bed-wetting.

How to use Desmopressin Acetate: this tablet is administered at the nose. Draw up the proper dose in the marked, flexible tube & use as directed by your doctor. do not use it more frequently without your doctor's approval. Patient instructions are provided with product. Make sure you understand how to use the medication properly. If you are uncertain how to use this, ask youre pharmacist. Limit drinking of water or other fluids while using it drug.

Desmopressin Acetate side effects: it pill can cause headache, runny nose, nausea, stomach ache or flushing about face. If any about these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: stomach cramps. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to it medication, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

Desmopressin Acetate Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: high blood pressure, breathing problems, nasal congestion, heart disease, fluid or vitamin/mineral (electrolyte) imbalances, any medication allergies. Tell your physician if you are pregnant before using this med. It's not known if this drug is excreted in to breast milk. Consult you're healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Desmopressin Acetate tablet interactions: Tell you're healthcare professional of every prescription & nonprescription pills you may use, especially about: carbamazepine, chlorpropamide, demeclocycline, water pills (diuretics), drugs that increase blood pressure (e.g., dopamine, epinephrine, ephedrine, levophed), alcohol use. Ask you're physician how many, if any, alcohol you may drink. Alcohol interferes with action of desmopressin by increasing urination. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Desmopressin Acetate Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Desmopressin Acetate special notes: Laboratory tests may be done to monitor your progress. in addition, amount of fluid you drink may be monitored. do not allow anyone else to use this drug.

If you missed Desmopressin Acetate dose: If you miss a dose and use 1 dose daily, use it as soon as remembered unless you do not remember until the next day. If that is the case, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. If you use more than 1 dose daily, use it as soon as remembered unless It's almost time for following dose. If so, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

Desmopressin Acetate Storage: Store at the refrigerator. do not freeze. this product may remain at room temperature for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks out of refrigerator, it should be discarded.
