Humibid DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. this combination medication is used to treat cough associated with common cold, allergies & another respiratory illnesses.
How to use Humibid DM: Take this med as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase some your dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules and long-acting meds must be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. long action will be destroyed and the chance of side effects will be increased.
Humibid DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the first some days as your body adjusts to the drug. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking this medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this medication makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Humibid DM Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially about: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with youre physician. since small amounts of this medication found in breast milk, consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Humibid DM pill interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine with-out healthcare professional or healthcare professional approval.
Humibid DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.
Humibid DM special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Humibid DM dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take this if it is near the time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Humibid DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store at the bathroom.
