    Carbamide peroxide - otic

    (kar-buh-mide purr-ox-ide)

    common brand names: Auro, Debrox, Murine Earwax Drops

    H E R Usage: it drug is used to treat earwax buildup by softening, loosening, & removing earwax.

    How to use H E R: Apply this drug into the ear, usually twice daily, or as directed by you're doctor. do not use this medication for more than 4 days. for accuracy & to avoid contamination, have another human insert drops if possible. To apply ear drops, wash you're hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your ear or any other surface. Lie on your side or tilt the affected ear upward. Place dropper directly over ear & instill the recommended, or prescribed amount of drops. To help the drops roll into ear (for adults) hold earlobe up and back or (for children) hold the earlobe down and back. Keep head tilted for about two minutes or insert soft cotton plug if so directed. If there is any wax remaining after treatment it may be removed by gently rinsing ear with warm water or using a soft rubber bulb ear syringe. Consult your pharmacist or pharmacist of safe use of an ear syringe. don't rinse the dropper. Replace the dropper cap after use.

    H E a R side effects: Ear drainage, ear pain, irritation or rash at the ear, or dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your physician. this med can cause crackling sound at ears. this harmless effect is temporary & due to medicine foaming & loosening earwax. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact some your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

    H E R Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, including: allergies, other ear problems (e.g., perforated or 'broken eardrum', ear infections/injuries/surgeries). Tell your physician if you are pregnant before using this medication. this is unknown if this med passes into breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

    H E R medication interactions: Tell your pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription drug you may use, especially about: other ear medications. don't start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.

    H E a R Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    H E R special notes: do not share it medication with others.

    If you missed H E R dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near time of the following dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.

    H E R Storage: Store in room temperature between 36 & 86 degrees F (2 to 30 degrees C) away from direct sunlight & excessive heat.
