Acid Gone Usage: this is an antacid that works in the stomach to neutralize and reduce acid. Antacids are used to treat an upset stomach caused by heartburn, acid indigestion, or sour stomach; to treat peptic ulcer, hiatal hernia or other conditions caused by an excess of stomach acid; & to prevent ulcers or bleeding from ulcers.
How to use Acid Gone: Take this med as prescribed. Taking too much an antacid can reverse the effects & more acid will be secreted. in certain conditions, however, this may be necessary to take antacid as frequently as every 1 to 2 hours. To be effective, chewable pills must be chewed thoroughly before swallowing followed by a full glass of water. Shake liquid forms well before pouring each dose. do not take any another med within 1 to two hours of taking an antacid. since antacids coat the stomach, they can prevent other drugs from being absorbed properly if taken at the same clock.
Acid Gone side effects: this medication can cause nausea, loss about appetite, constipation or diarrhea, weakness, or headache. If these symptoms persist or become severe, notify your healthcare professional. Notify youre doctor if you notice black, tarry stools while taking this tablet. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or physician.
Acid Gone Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially about: kidney problems.
Acid Gone drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about every prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: tetracycline, ferrous sulfate (iron), drugs used for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, indomethacin), digoxin, isoniazid, pseudoephedrine, diazepam, methenamine, ketoconazole. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Acid Gone Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, fatigue, weakness, severe nausea & vomiting, loss of appetite, drowsiness, slow or shallow breathing, or loss about consciousness.
Acid Gone special notes: Refrigerating liquid antacids may improve taste. do not freeze. If you dislike the taste of one antacid, chat to some your doctor or doctor about switching to a similar product. liquid antacid forms work faster & are more effective then the other forms. However, chewable tablets may be more convenient.
If you missed Acid Gone dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time since the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Acid Gone Storage: Store tablets, capsules & powdered forms at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in the bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of this tablet.
