    Clobetasol foam - topical

    (kloh-bay-tuh-sall)

    common brand names: Olux

    Olux Usage: Clobetasol is corticosteroid used to treat swelling, redness, & itching in certain scalp conditions (e.g., psoriasis).

    How to use Olux: Apply this drug topically to the scalp usually twice daily in the morning & evening; or use as directed by your doctor. Learn all preparation & usage instructions in product package & ask you're physician or physician if you have questions of any of the following text. Use this drug exactly as prescribed. do not increase youre dose, take it more frequently, or use it for longer than two weeks in a row. Doing so could increase your chance of side effects. Avoid getting any of the drug in youre eyes; if you do, flush/rinse your eyes with large amount of water. it drug contains ingredients that could easily start on fire (flammable). Avoid smoking, being around open flames (e.g., fireplaces, stoves), or using hair dryers or electric curlers while using this med. do not cover area with plastic or waterproof bandages unless directed to do by your doctor. Learn how to store the tablet and discard empty container safely. do not puncture or burn container. Consult your physician.

    Olux side effects: Burning, stinging, itching, or irritation of skin and/or scalp may occur. If any about these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. Tell you're healthcare professional immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: rash, acne-like eruptions, cracked skin. Tell your pharmacist immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision problems, headache, increased thirst or urination, unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

    Olux Precautions: Tell some your healthcare professional your medical history especially of of: other skin/scalp infections, diabetes, allergies (especially allergies to corticosteroids such as prednisone). Though very unlikely, this is possible this medication will be absorbed into some your bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true for children & for those who have used this drug for an extended period of time & if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries, or surgeries. this precaution applies since up to one year after stopping use of it med. Consult some your doctor or healthcare professional since more following following details. it medication isn't recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult you're healthcare professional for more following information. it isnt known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Because of potential risk to infant, breast-feeding while using this tablet is not recommended. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.

    Olux drug interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription & nonprescription drug you may use, especially of: other skin/scalp medications, corticosteroid (e.g., prednisone). do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.

    Olux Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed. Symptoms of overdose may include vision problems, headache, increased thirst or urination, unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea, or dizziness.

    Olux special notes: do not share it drug with others. Inform all you're physicians you use, or have used, this medication. Laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., cortisol tests) may be performed to monitor your progress.

    If you missed Olux dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near time about next dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

    Olux Storage: Store at room temperature between 36 and 86 degrees F (2 to 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.

    Medical alert: your condition can cause complications in a medical emergency.
