Antipyrine with benzocaine - otic

Rx Otic Usage: this medication contains benzocaine, a topical anesthetic which numbs skin, and antipyrine, pain reliever. Its used to relieve pain & discomfort about certain ear problems.

How to use Rx Otic: this medication is used in the ears as directed. To administer properly, lie on your side or tilt head so ear faces up. Put the prescribed number of drops into the ear using dropper provided. do not insert dropper into ear & avoid touching the dropper to the ear or any other surface. To allow drops to run into ear canal, hold earlobe up and back in adults and down and back in children. Keep ear tilted for 1 to 2 minutes. a soft cotton plug may be gently inserted into ear to keep ear drops in place. Use plug only if directed to do so.

Rx Otic side effects: Minor stinging, burning or tenderness of the ear may occur when it is 1st used. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, or if your symptoms do not improve within few days, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if any of following effects occur: irritation, rash, itching. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

Rx Otic Precautions: Tell your physician if you have any of the following conditions: infection, any allergies. it pill should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss the risks and benefits with your pharmacist.

Rx Otic drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.

Rx Otic Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed. If you or someone you know may have taken this medicine by mouth, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Rx Otic special notes: since comfort, drops may be warmed to body temperature by rolling bottle in your hands for few minutes before using them. do not heat in a microwave or place in hot water.

If you missed Rx Otic dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Rx Otic Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture. Avoid freezing.
