Robitussin Pediatric Usage: Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & another respiratory illnesses.
How to use Robitussin Pediatric: Take it tablet as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. Capsule dose forms should be swallowed whole.
Robitussin Pediatric side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, nervousness, restlessness, loss of appetite, nausea or dry mouth may occur first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, tremors, extreme nervousness, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Robitussin Pediatric Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: heart disease, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, allergies (especially drug allergies). dollars this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult you're doctor promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor. since small amounts of this medication found in breast milk, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Robitussin Pediatric med interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may use, including: blood pressure medications, drugs used to reduce weight, heart medication, drug that prevents drowsiness, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not use this product together with an MAO inhibitor, or for 2 weeks after stopping MAO inhibitor tablet. do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Robitussin Pediatric Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, hyperactivity, slow or shallow breathing, blurred vision, or unconsciousness.
Robitussin Pediatric special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Robitussin Pediatric dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Robitussin Pediatric Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
