Alphagan P Usage: this pill is used to treat glaucoma or high fluid pressures in the eye.

How to use Alphagan P: for best results this pill should be used routinely as directed. Continue using it for the full time prescribed. To apply eye drops, wash hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. Tilt your head back, gaze upward & pull down lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place dropper directly over eye & administer the prescribed number about drops. look downward & gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger at corner about eye near nose & apply gentle pressure. it will prevent drug from draining away from eye. Try not to blink and do not rub eye. do not rinse dropper. Replace cap after use. If you using another kind of eye drop, wait in least five minutes before applying other meds.

Alphagan P side effects: Red, itching eyes, blurred vision or eye discomfort, headache, foreign body sensation, drowsiness or dry mouth may occur. If these continue or worsen, notify youre physician promptly. Unlikely but report: dizziness, stomach discomfort, eyelid crusting, abnormal taste, insomnia, depression, anxiety, palpitations, sensitivity to light, nasal dryness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or physician.

Alphagan P Precautions: Before using this drug, tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: allergies (especially drug allergies), liver or kidney disease, heart or blood vessel disease, depression, Raynaud's disease, low blood pressure (orthostasis). it is not known whether it drug is excreted in to person milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. Wait at least 15 minutes after using brimonidine drops before inserting soft contact lenses. Limit alcohol use as it can contribute to drowsiness effect that can occur with this drug. Use caution performing tasks that require alertness.

Alphagan P medication interactions: Tell youre healthcare professional of every nonprescription & prescription medication you may take, especially of: MAO inhibitors (e.g., selegiline, furazolidone, phenelzine, tranylcypromine), sleep meds, sedatives, tranquilizers, anxiety medicine (e.g., diazepam), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine, morphine), barbiturates (e.g., phenobarbital), psychiatric medications (e.g., amitriptyline, trazodone, chlorpromazine), certain antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine), muscle relaxants (e.g., cyclobenzaprine), beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol, metoprolol, timolol eye drops), HBP medication, digoxin. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.

Alphagan P Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Alphagan P special notes: do not share this medication with others.

If you missed Alphagan P dose: If you miss dose, use this as soon as you remember. If it is near clock about the next dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Alphagan P Storage: Store at room temperature at or below 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) away from light & moisture. do not freeze.
