Phenavent LA Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Phenylephrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.

How to use Phenavent LA: Take this medication by mouth. tablets must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this med as directed. don't increase dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty about fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.

Phenavent LA side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss about appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your pharmacist or physician.

Phenavent LA Precautions: Tell you're pharmacist if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risk & benefits with youre healthcare professional. it is not known if it med appears in breast milk; consult you're physician before breast-feeding.

Phenavent LA med interactions: Tell you're doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take including: sleeping meds, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, medication for high blood pressure. Tell your pharmacist if you have, in last 2 weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or healthcare professional approval.

Phenavent LA Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually quick or slow heartbeat, numbness of the fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.

Phenavent LA special notes: don't share this product with others.

If you missed Phenavent LA dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost clock for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Phenavent LA Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
