    Guaifenesin/dextromethorphan/decongestant - oral

    Ru Tuss DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination drug is used to treat a cough and relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.

    How to use Ru Tuss DM: it med is best taken with full glass about water after a meal or snack. Swallow long acting tablets & capsules whole. do not crush or chew them because the long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased. Take this med as prescribed. do not increase some your dose or take it more often than directed.

    Ru Tuss DM side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.

    Ru Tuss DM Precautions: Tell youre doctor your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any drug allergies. dollars it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult you're healthcare professional promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain it product has PPA. it drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this med. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or physician approval.

    Ru Tuss DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements of eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or quick heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.

    Ru Tuss DM special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

    If you missed Ru Tuss DM dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

    Ru Tuss DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
