Numonyl Pediatric Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Phenylephrine is decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination med is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Numonyl Pediatric: Take it pill by mouth. tablets must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, it may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. don't increase the dose or take it more often or longer then prescribed. this is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Numonyl Pediatric side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur first few days as your body adjusts to the tablet. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre doctor. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this drug may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.
Numonyl Pediatric Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this tablet should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risk and benefits with your doctor. it is not known if it pill appears in breast milk; consult some your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Numonyl Pediatric drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: sleeping meds, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, drug for depression, drug for high blood pressure. Tell some your doctor if you have, in last two weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.
Numonyl Pediatric Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, numbness of fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.
Numonyl Pediatric special notes: don't share this product with others.
If you missed Numonyl Pediatric dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Numonyl Pediatric Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
