Neomycin Bacitracin Polymyxin Usage: this med is used to treat eye infections.

How to use Neomycin Bacitracin Polymyxin: for best effects, this medication must be used as directed. Continue using it for the full time prescribed. Stopping this pill too soon may not clear the infection & could possibly result at a reinfection. Apply eye ointment to the affected eyes as follows: Wash hands 1'st. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch tube tip or let this touch some your eye. Rolling the ointment tube in your hands for a minute will make ointment flow easier. Tilt some your head back, gaze upward & pull down lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place 1/4 to 1/2 inch about ointment into pouch by squeezing the tube gently. Close eye & roll eyeball in all directions to spread the medication. Try not to blink and do not rub the eye. Wipe the tip about ointment tube with a tissue to remove excess drug before capping it. If you using an eye drop in addition to this med, apply the eye drops 1st & wait at least five minutes before applying this eye ointment. If you are using another type of eye ointment, wait at least ten minutes after using this drug before applying it.

Neomycin Bacitracin Polymyxin side effects: this medication may temporarily sting or burn your eyes for minute or two when 1-st applied. If this continues or becomes bothersome, inform youre pharmacist. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable for period after applying eye ointment. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Notify your pharmacist immediately if you develop: rash, itching or burning eyes, redness/pain or swelling in or around the eyes, vision problems. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact some your pharmacist or healthcare professional.

Neomycin Bacitracin Polymyxin Precautions: Tell some your doctor your medical history, especially of: all eye problems, any allergies you may have. this medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with youre physician. it isnt known if it eye tablet is excreted into breast milk. Consult you're physician before breast-feeding.

Neomycin Bacitracin Polymyxin drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.

Neomycin Bacitracin Polymyxin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Neomycin Bacitracin Polymyxin special notes: If condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after a few days, consult your doctor.

If you missed Neomycin Bacitracin Polymyxin dose: If you miss dose, use this as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near the clock for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Neomycin Bacitracin Polymyxin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. cash the expiration date on tube and discard any expired medication.
