Methylin Usage: Methylphenidate increases mental alertness. It's used in those who have problems staying awake (narcolepsy) & for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

How to use Methylin: this medication is best taken 30 to 45 minutes before meal or take as directed by your physician. Dosage depends on your condition & response to this tablet. If loss about appetite occurs or if you experience stomach upset, it may be taken with or after meals or snack. Use this drug exactly as prescribed. do not increase your dose, use this more frequently or use it for a longer period about time than prescribed because this drug canbe habit-forming. Also, if used for long period about clock, don't suddenly stop using this without first consulting your healthcare professional. When used for extended periods, this medication may not work as well & may require different dosing. Consult you're doctor if medication isn't working well.
Methylin side effects: Loss of appetite, blurred vision, dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, dry mouth, stomach upset, sleeplessness, irritability or constipation may occur the first few days as your body adjusts to the drug. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you experience: weight loss, chest pain, nervousness, pounding heart, difficulty urinating, mood changes, yellowing eyes and skin. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this medication, seek immediate medical attention. Methylin Precautions: Tell youre healthcare professional you're medical history, especially: seizures or motor tics, Tourette's disorder, glaucoma, high blood pressure, severe anxiety, alcoholism, drug dependence, mental conditions, any allergies. Methylin special notes: don't allow anyone else to take this drug.
If you missed Methylin dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered & take any remaining doses at evenly spaced times. If It's near bedtime or near clock for following dose, skip that dose and resume your regular dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Methylin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
