Betaxolol HCL Usage: this medication is used to reduce pressure in eye caused by glaucoma or other eye conditions.
How to use Betaxolol HCL: To instill eye drops, wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the dropper or let it touch your eye. Tilt your head back, gaze upward & pull down lower eyelid to make pouch. Place dropper directly over eye and administer the prescribed number of drops. watch downward and gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Try not to blink & do not rub the eye. don't rinse the dropper. for maximum effect, this medication should be used routinely as prescribed.
Betaxolol HCL side effects: it medication may temporarily sting you're eyes for minute or two when you 1-st use it. If stinging persists or becomes bothersome, inform your doctor. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after applying drops. Use caution driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Notify you're physician if you experience any of these rarely occurring side effects: dizziness, drowsiness, depression, irregular or slow heartbeat. in the unlikely chapter you have an allergic reaction to it medication, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're physician or pharmacist.
Betaxolol HCL Precautions: Tell your physician youre medical history, especially of: diabetes, thyroid disorders, muscle weakness disorders, breathing problems, heart problems, any allergies. If you are scheduled for surgery that requires anesthesia, tell the doctor treating you that you use this drug. If you have eye surgery, injury or infection consult some your eye pharmacist about continued use of this current eye drop bottle. this medication must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. it drug may be excreted into breast milk & may have undesirable effects on nursing infant. Consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Betaxolol HCL drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional about all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: other drugs used for glaucoma, theophylline, pills used for high blood pressure, heart drugs, diabetes drugs, tablets used since colds or nasal congestion. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Betaxolol HCL Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed. Symptoms about overdose may include dizziness, slow heart rate, or breathing difficulties.
Betaxolol HCL special notes: Discard the solution if it turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
If you missed Betaxolol HCL dose: If you should miss dose, use this as soon as you remember. However, if Its almost clock for following dose, skip missed dose & resume regular dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Betaxolol HCL Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
