Phos Flur Usage: Sodium fluoride makes teeth more resistant to decay & bacteria that cause cavities. this med is used to prevent cavities. it fluoride supplement is used when drinking water contains low fluoride levels (less than 0.7 parts per million).
How to use Phos Flur: this is best used one time daily just before bedtime after routine brushing & flossing or as directed by some your doctor. Apply thin ribbon of medicine to toothbrush and brush thoroughly for two minutes or as directed. Adults: after use, spit out excess. for best results, do not eat, drink or rinse for 30 minutes. Age 6 to 16: after use, spit out excess & rinse mouth thoroughly.
Phos Flur side effects: Inform your healthcare professional if you experience mouth or gum irritation while using it med. If your teeth become stained or change color, notify your dentist. Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, headache or muscle twitches may occur if it med is accidentally swallowed. If these symptoms occur, contact some your healthcare professional. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.
Phos Flur Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: any allergies, kidney problems, joint pain. If you live in an region where the drinking water is fluoridated, inform your healthcare professional. Before using this medicine, tell your physician if you pregnant. It's not known if it drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult you're physician before breast-feeding.
Phos Flur drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of every prescription & nonprescription medications you may use. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or doctor approval.
Phos Flur Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, excess saliva, stomach pain, diarrhea, irritability, seizures, and loss of consciousness.
Phos Flur special notes: Fluoride is found in tea, fluoridated water & fish eaten with bones such as sardines.
If you missed Phos Flur dose: If you miss dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Phos Flur Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. As with all meds, keep out of the reach of children.
