Betaxolol HCL Usage: this med is used for chest pain (angina), hypertension and irregular heartbeats.
How to use Betaxolol HCL: Take it tablet exactly as prescribed. Try to take it at same times each day. do not suddenly stop taking it medication with out consulting your healthcare professional. some conditions may become worse when drug is suddenly stopped.
Betaxolol HCL side effects: You may experience dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, & blurred vision as you're body adjusts to the med. Use caution engaging at activities requiring alertness. Because beta-blockers may reduce blood circulation to the extremities, your hands and feet may be cold. Dress warm. Inform your healthcare professional if you develop: simple bruising or bleeding, swollen hands or feet, confusion, depression, a sore throat. in unlikely series you have an allergic reaction to it drug, seek medical attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're physician or pharmacist.
Betaxolol HCL Precautions: Before taking it drug, tell your pharmacist if you have a history of: heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, any other lung disease, diabetes, overactive thyroid gland, any drug allergies. Before having surgery, tell the doctor or dentist in charge that you taking beta-blocker. this med must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your physician. this medication is excreted into breast milk & though no problems have been noted, possibility for adverse effects to the infant exists. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Betaxolol HCL medication interactions: Tell you're doctor about all prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: diuretics, cold preparations & nasal decongestants, reserpine, other heart or hypertension tablets, St John's wort. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Betaxolol HCL Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unusually quick or slow heartbeat, dizziness, slow or shallow breathing, seizures, unconsciousness, weakness, or fatigue.
Betaxolol HCL special notes: your pharmacist may want you to take youre pulse each day while you take this drug. Learn how to monitor your pulse.
If you missed Betaxolol HCL dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered but not if It's within four hours of following dose (8 hours for penbutolol, atenolol, nadolol). If It's, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Betaxolol HCL Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
