Donatussin Dc Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant that loosen mucus. the decongestant relieves nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control a cough. this combination medication is used to treat a cough & relieve symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, and other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Donatussin Dc: this drug is best taken with, or after, meal or snack. Take it medication as prescribed. don't increase youre dose or take it more often then directed.

Donatussin Dc side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or anxiety may occur first several days as youre body adjusts to the med. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your healthcare professional. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, painful or difficult urination, tremors, nervousness, trouble sleeping, hallucinations. Donatussin Dc Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: kidney problems, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, history of drug dependency, any allergies. Donatussin Dc medication interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.g., selegiline, linezolid, furazolidone, phenelzine, tranylcypromine), cimetidine. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Donatussin Dc Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include slow or shallow breathing, slow heart rate, small pupils, severe drowsiness, or unconsciousness.

Donatussin Dc special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Donatussin Dc dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the time since following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Donatussin Dc Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
