Calcium Carbonate Usage: this medication is an antacid used to relieve upset stomach, heartburn or gas caused by stomach acid.
How to use Calcium Carbonate: Take this by mouth as directed. Shake well before pouring each dose. Follow each dose with a full glass of water. do not increase dose or take this more often than prescribed. If you feel some your dose is not effective, consult your doctor.
Calcium Carbonate side effects: this medication is generally well tolerated. Notify your doctor if you develop: loss of appetite, vomiting, dizziness, headache. Constipation & stomach cramps may occur. Notify your doctor if they continue or become severe. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or doctor.
Calcium Carbonate Precautions: Before taking this, tell your doctor if you have: kidney disease, any allergies. Avoid taking more doses then recommended. this pill is considered safe for use during pregnancy or breast-feeding when used as directed.
Calcium Carbonate tablet interactions: Tell you're doctor of any nonprescription or prescription medication you use, including: certain antibiotics (e.g., tetracyclines, quinolones), demeclocycline, methacycline, verapamil (a calcium channel blocker), quinidine, sodium polystyrene sulfonate (kayexalate), iron-containing products. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.
Calcium Carbonate Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, tiredness, & weakness.
Calcium Carbonate special notes: there various forms of it medication available. chewable pills offer convenience but liquid form is faster acting. talk to you're health care provider or doctor about best product for you. If your condition does not improve or worsens, contact youre healthcare professional or pharmacist. If your stools become dark in color or you vomit what looks love coffee grounds, contact your physician as these may be signs of stomach bleeding
If you missed Calcium Carbonate dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered don't take it if It's near the time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Calcium Carbonate Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Refrigeration may help improve the taste. do not store in bathroom.
