Crantex HC Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant that loosen mucus. decongestant relieves nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control cough. this combination drug is used to treat a cough and relieve symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Crantex HC: this medication is best taken with, or after, meal or snack. Take this drug as prescribed. do not increase youre dose or take this more often than directed.
Crantex HC side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea or anxiety may occur 1st some days as you're body adjusts to the drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, painful or difficult urination, tremors, nervousness, trouble sleeping, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Crantex HC Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: kidney problems, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, a history of drug dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this med causes you to feel drowsy. check it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your physician promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this product should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare professional. at least one of the ingredients in it combination product is known to be excreted into breast milk. Consult some your physician before breast-feeding.
Crantex HC pill interactions: Tell your physician about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.g., selegiline, linezolid, furazolidone, phenelzine, tranylcypromine), cimetidine. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Crantex HC Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include slow or shallow breathing, slow heart rate, small pupils, severe drowsiness, or unconsciousness.
Crantex HC special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Crantex HC dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the clock for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Crantex HC Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store at bathroom.
