Cortomycin Usage: it pill is used to treat or prevent eye infections.
How to use Cortomycin: for best effects, this medication must be used as directed. Continue using this since the full clock prescribed. Stopping it medication too soon may not clear the infection & could possibly result in a reinfection. Apply eye ointment to affected eyes as follows: Wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch tube tip or let it touch your eye. Rolling ointment tube in your hands for minute will make ointment flow easier. Tilt your head back, gaze upward & pull down the lower eyelid to make pouch. Place 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ointment into pouch by squeezing tube gently. Close eye & roll the eyeball in every directions to spread the medication. Try not to blink & do not rub eye. Wipe the tip of ointment tube with tissue to remove excess pill before capping it. If you are using an eye drop in addition to it drug, apply eye drops 1'st and wait at least five minutes before applying it eye ointment. If you are using another type of eye ointment, wait at least ten minutes after using this medication before applying it.
Cortomycin side effects: this medication may temporarily sting or burn youre eyes for minute or two when first applied. If this continues or becomes bothersome, inform you're physician. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable since period after applying eye ointment. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. Notify your doctor immediately if you develop: skin rash, itching/burning/redness/pain/swelling in or around the eyes, vision problems. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.
Cortomycin Precautions: Tell some your doctor if you have: other eye problems, allergies (especially to any antibiotics or sulfites). this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss risks & benefits with your healthcare professional.
Cortomycin med interactions: Tell you're doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Cortomycin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Cortomycin special notes: If condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after a few days, consult some your doctor.
If you missed Cortomycin dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use it if Its near the time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Cortomycin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat. check the expiration date on the tube & discard any expired drug.
