    Sulfacetamide with sulfur topical lotion

    (sull-fuh-seet-uh-mide with sull-fur)

    common brand names: Nicosyn, Novacet, Sulfacet-R

    Sulfacet R Usage: it medication is used to help treat acne & another skin conditions (e.g., seborrheic dermatitis). this product contains an antibacterial agent and a drying agent which promotes shedding of top layer of skin (keratolysis).

    How to use Sulfacet R: this pill is for use on skin only. several goods should be shaken prior to use. check some your product labeling or ask your pharmacist to find out whether or not your product needs to be shaken before each use. Clean the affected region & apply a thin layer of medication to skin 1 to 3 times daily, or use as directed by you're physician. Avoid getting any of this medication at eyes or inside the nose or mouth.

    Sulfacet R side effects: Redness and irritation of skin may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your healthcare professional. Tell your pharmacist immediately if any about these serious side effects occur: cracked skin, rash. Tell you're healthcare professional immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: weakness, dark urine, yellowing eyes or skin, persistent sore throat, fever, easy bruising/bleeding. You may be at increased risk for side effects if it drug is used on raw or broken skin. Consult your doctor for details. An allergic reaction to it drug is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

    Sulfacet R Precautions: it medication shouldnot be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have: kidney disease, allergies to sulfa medications. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. Based on information about related drugs, this medication may pass into breast milk. Therefore, breast-feeding while using this medication isnot recommended. Consult your pharmacist before breast- feeding.

    Sulfacet R pill interactions: Before using this drug, tell youre healthcare professional or physician of all prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially of: other skin goods. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.

    Sulfacet R Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Sulfacet R special notes: do not share this med with others.

    If you missed Sulfacet R dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If Its near the time about next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.

    Sulfacet R Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture. do not store in bathroom. Keep all medicines away from children & pets.
