Hexachlorophene - cleanser

common brand names: Phisohex, Septisol

Phisohex Usage: this drug is a skin cleanser that kills bacteria. Its used to help prevent passing germs to others.

How to use Phisohex: this pill is for use on the skin only. Use it as directed to clean the hands or affected area. Use carefully if applying to face. Avoid contact in or around the eyes. Rinse thoroughly after washing, especially if washing scrotal, vaginal or anal areas. for best results, use it as directed. don't use it more often or use more than necessary.

Phisohex side effects: Notify youre pharmacist if following effects occur: redness, irritation. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or physician.

Phisohex Precautions: do not use on burned or abraded skin or on mucous membranes (eyes, inside nose, mouth). Tell you're physician if you have any pre-existing conditions, such as: illness, infections, allergies (especially to antibiotics). As with any medication, this should be used with caution during pregnancy or if breast-feeding. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor.

Phisohex drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take, including: skin products. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.

Phisohex Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. If it medicine is accidentally taken by mouth, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of ingestion may include loss of appetite, vomiting, stomach cramps, diarrhea, seizures, & cold, clammy skin.

Phisohex special notes: it medication is available at different forms, such as liquid, foam, or sponge. Discuss with your doctor or pharmacist the best product for you're use.

If you missed Phisohex dose: If you miss an application, use it as soon as you remember. do not use more of this in an effort to catch-up.

Phisohex Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat. Keep out of reach of children.
