Guaifenesin with dextromethorphan - oral

Genatuss DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. this combination med is used to treat a cough associated with the common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Genatuss DM: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase youre dose or take this more many times than directed. Capsules and long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with a full glass about water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed and the chance about side effects will be increased.

Genatuss DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss about appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur first some days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking this medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this medication makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or pharmacist.

Genatuss DM Precautions: Tell some your doctor your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your pharmacist. since small amounts of it drug found at breast milk, consult youre doctor before breast-feeding.

Genatuss DM drug interactions: Tell youre doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.

Genatuss DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.

Genatuss DM special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this tablet. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Genatuss DM dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Genatuss DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in bathroom.
