Tussin Pediatric Usage: Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant used to relieve a dry, hacking cough.
How to use Tussin Pediatric: Take this medication by mouth as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed.
Tussin Pediatric side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, or stomach ache may occur the 1st several days as you're body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre physician. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit youre intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify youre doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, nervousness, confusion. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or doctor.
Tussin Pediatric Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: lung problems (e.g., asthma, emphysema), allergies (especially pill allergies). this med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your pharmacist. since small amounts of it drug are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Tussin Pediatric drug interactions: Tell some your healthcare professional about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you use, especially about: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Tussin Pediatric Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Tussin Pediatric special notes: If cough worsens, last for longer than one week or is accompanied by a high fever, notify your physician.
If you missed Tussin Pediatric dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
