Smz Tmp Ds Usage: this antibiotic is used to treat a wide variety of infections including urinary tract infections, middle ear infections & respiratory tract infections, including pneumocystis pneumonia.

How to use Smz Tmp Ds: Take each dose with a full glass of water. If stomach upset occurs, it may be taken with food or milk. liquid suspension form of this medicine must be shaken well before each dose. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication unless your physician directs you otherwise. Antibiotics work best when the amount of medicine at you're body is kept at a constant level. Do this by taking drug at evenly spaced intervals throughout day & night. Continue to take this medication until the full prescribed amount is finished. Stopping tablet too early may result in a relapse of the infection.

Smz Tmp Ds side effects: this med may cause stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, headache or vomiting. If any of these effects persist or become severe, inform youre physician. the sulfa in this combination pill may increase sensitivity to sunlight. Notify your physician if you develop: easy bleeding or bruising. rarely, this med can cause serious, even death, side effects such as severe peeling skin rash known as Stevens- Johnson syndrome, blood disorders (e.g., agranulocytosis, aplastic anemia), or liver damage. Seek immeditial medical attention if you develop any of next symptoms: skin rash or blisters, unusual fatigue, persistent sore throat or fever, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, abdominal pain. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate doctor attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or pharmacist.

Smz Tmp Ds Precautions: Tell your doctor you're medical history, especially about: liver or kidney problems, asthma or another breathing problems, blood disorders, allergies (especially drug allergies). Because this medication may make you prone to sunburn, wear protective clothing & sunscreen. it medication isnot recommended for use in infants younger then two months. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. the use of this tablet isnt recommended near term. Discuss risks & benefits with you're physician. it drug is excreted in to breast milk & may have undesirable effects on a nursing infant. Consult your healthcare professional before breast- feeding.

Smz Tmp Ds med interactions: Tell youre doctor of all the medicines you may use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: warfarin, oral meds to treat diabetes, methotrexate, oral PABA, phenytoin, methenamine, cyclosporine. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Smz Tmp Ds Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea or vomiting, stomach pain, dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, depression, blood in urine, & loss of consciousness.

Smz Tmp Ds special notes: it med has been prescribed for your current condition only. do not use it later for another infection or give this to someone else. different medication may be necessary.

If you missed Smz Tmp Ds dose: If you must miss dose, take it as soon as remembered unless It's almost time for the next dose. If it is nearly time for next dose, skip missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
