Panfil G Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dyphylline acts to widen air passages in lungs to make breathing easier. this combination med is used to relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & another respiratory illnesses.
How to use Panfil G: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more many times than directed. this medication is best taken with full glass about water after meal or snack.
Panfil G side effects: Headache, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nausea, anxiety, irritability or nervousness may occur first several days as your body adjusts to tablet. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, fast/irregular heartbeat, rash, vomiting, trouble sleeping, dizziness, flushing, tremors, mental confusion. Notify your doctor if your breathing difficulty continues or worsens. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or pharmacist.
Panfil G Precautions: Tell your doctor some your medical history, especially about: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), high blood pressure, history about ulcers or seizures, glaucoma, any allergies. Smoking can reduce effects about this drug. Inform your doctor if you smoke before taking this. Limit some your intake of caffeine containing products while taking this medication as it can increase the risk of side effects. Caffeine is found in coffee, tea, cola, cocoa & chocolate. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. for small amounts of this medication are found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Panfil G med interactions: Tell youre healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: blood pressure medicine, anti-seizure meds, antibiotics, steroids, thyroid hormones, 'water pills' (diuretics). don't start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or physician approval.
Panfil G Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, irritability, headache, difficulty sleeping, loss of appetite, irregular heart rate, sweating, & seizures.
Panfil G special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Panfil G dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take this if It's near the time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Panfil G Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
