Trelstar LA Usage: Triptorelin is used to treat prostate cancer.

How to use Trelstar LA: Learn all preparation & usage instructions in product package. If any of the info is unclear, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Withdraw 2 ml about sterile water for injection in to syringe, remove the top about med vial, & inject two ml of sterile water into vial. Shake vial well to thoroughly mix drug. After mixing, it medication should appear as milky white suspension. Before using, cash it product for any unusual particles or discoloration. If either is present do not use liquid. Before injecting each dose, clean the injection site with rubbing alcohol. it is important to change location of the injection site occasionally to avoid problem areas in the muscles. Inject it drug into a muscle (IM) of either buttocks usually once every 12 weeks (84 days); or as directed by your doctor. it may take up to 4 weeks before the full benefit of this medication takes effect. Learn how to store & discard needles and medical supplies safely. Consult your pharmacist.

Trelstar LA side effects: Temporary increase in prostate cancer symptoms (e.g., bone pain, difficulty urinating, blood in urine), hot flashes, headache, diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, trouble sleeping, or pain at the injection site may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your healthcare professional promptly. Tell you're physician immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: unusual weakness/fatigue, tingling or numbness of hands/legs/feet, decreased sexual ability, dizziness, blurred vision, pain (in chest, joints, muscles, or back), swelling (in arms, legs, or chest). Tell you're doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: severe headache, vision changes, severe drowsiness, unusual or one-sided weakness. An allergic reaction to this tablet is unlikely, but seek immeditial healthcare attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or doctor.

Trelstar LA Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially about: kidney or liver disease, bladder problems (urinary obstructions), spinal problems (e.g., vertebral lesions), any allergies (especially to other meds that affect hormones love LHRH). this medication is only recommended for use in men. If used in women, this must not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your healthcare professional immediately. It's not known if this pill passes in to breast milk. However, breast-feeding while using this medication is not recommended.

Trelstar LA tablet interactions: Tell youre physician of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Trelstar LA Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Trelstar LA special notes: do not share this medication with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., testosterone levels, PSA levels) may be performed to monitor youre progress.

If you missed Trelstar LA dose: If you miss dose, contact youre healthcare professional to establish new dosing schedule.

Trelstar LA Storage: Store unmixed vials at room temperature (77 degrees F and 25 degrees C). Brief storage between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) is permitted. do not freeze. 1 time mixed, medication should be used immediately. Discard any unused portion of vial.
