    Maprotiline HCL Usage: it pill is an antidepressant used to treat depression.

    How to use Maprotiline HCL: Take this medication exactly as prescribed. Initially, your dose may be increased gradually to find proper amount for you. don't increase your dose or take this more often than directed. do not stop taking this drug without 1st consulting your healthcare professional.

    Maprotiline HCL side effects: Stomach upset, loss of appetite, nausea, diarrhea, strange taste in mouth, dry mouth, dizziness and blurred vision may occur the 1st several days as you're body adjusts to medication. other side effects reported include anxiety, nervousness, restlessness, irritability, insomnia, nightmares, dry skin, itching, change at sex drive or decreased sexual function, painful or frequency urination, weight loss or gain, sun sensitivity or increased thirst. If any of these effects become bothersome, inform youre physician. Notify youre doctor if you develop chest pain, rapid heartbeat, vomiting, skin rash, mental confusion, disturbed thoughts, hallucinations, tingling of the fingers or toes, muscle twitching, seizures, agitation, breathing trouble, unusual weakness or swelling of face or tongue while taking this med. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or healthcare professional.

    Maprotiline HCL Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: history of a seizure disorder, glaucoma, urinary trouble, heart disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, liver disease, psychiatric illness, allergies (especially drug allergies). this medication may cause dizziness, drowsiness or blurred vision. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & limit consumption of alcoholic beverages, which can intensify these effects. Diabetics must closely monitor blood sugar levels as this drug may both increase or decrease blood sugar. it medication may make you more sensitive to the sun. Avoid prolonged sun expose. Wear protective clothing and use sunscreen. Caution is advised when using this med in elderly, because they may be more sensitive to effects about the medication (e.g., confusion may occur or worsen). this pill should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with some your physician. for small amounts of this medication found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

    Maprotiline HCL drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, especially of: barbiturates, anticholinergics, cimetidine, clonidine, disulfiram, fluoxetine, haloperidol, estrogens, oral contraceptives, antidepressants, phenothiazines, narcotic pain medications (e.g., codeine). If you are unsure of contents or types of medications you you take, ask youre physician or pharmacist for help. Smoking may alter effects about this drug. Avoid alcohol which can aggravate side effects. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.

    Maprotiline HCL Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, fast heartbeat, loss of balance, vomiting, lightheadedness, restlessness, muscle stiffness, & dilated pupils.

    Maprotiline HCL special notes: this may take 2 to three weeks before the full effects of this drug are observed.

    If you missed Maprotiline HCL dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if Its near the clock for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up. If more than one dose is missed, contact your doctor or healthcare professional to determine a new dosing schedule.

    Maprotiline HCL Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.

    Female, Age : 51-60 years old , Reason : anxiety, depression, pain.
    Side Effects : none
    Review : I have been taking the drug for 6 years and have had quality of life. Sunday i was told they no longer will be able to purchase the drug from manufacturer. I have shocked that something can be just stopped like this without warning
