Corticosteroids - topical
U Cort Usage: this pill is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching about skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies & other irritations.
How to use U Cort: Clean & dry the affected area before applying drug. To apply, gently massage a small amount of tablet into the affected area & surrounding skin. don't bandage, wrap or cover the area treated unless you are instructed to do so by your doctor. do not use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on kid being treated with it med in diaper region. Avoid using it medication around the eyes unless directed to do so by your doctor.
U Cort side effects: this tablet can cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when 1st applied to the skin. this should disappear in a few days as some your body adjusts to medication. this medication may also cause skin thinning & discoloration. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your healthcare professional. Skin infections can become worse when using this med. Notify your doctor if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your physician or healthcare professional.
U Cort Precautions: do not use this medication near the eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate & augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond 2 weeks consecutively is not recommended. do not use if there is an infection or sores present on the area to be treated. Though very unlikely, It's possible this drug will be absorbed into your bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. it is especially true for child & for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. it precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this drug. Consult your physician or physician for more details. this med should be used cautiously during pregnancy and only if clearly needed. Discuss the benefits & risks with some your doctor. Small amounts about this med may appear in breast milk. Consult with your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
U Cort drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of all meds you may use, (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or healthcare professional approval.
U Cort Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
U Cort special notes: Inform every your pharmacists you use (or have used) this medication. do not share it drug with others.
If you missed U Cort dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
U Cort Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
