Corticosteroids - topical
Texacort Usage: this medication is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies & other irritations.
How to use Texacort: Clean & dry affected region before applying medication. To apply, gently massage small amount of the medication in to affected region & surrounding skin. do not bandage, wrap or cover area treated unless you instructed to do so by you're physician. do not use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on child being treated with it drug in diaper region. Avoid using this drug around eyes unless directed to do so by your healthcare professional.
Texacort side effects: this med may cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when first applied to the skin. it must disappear in a several days as your body adjusts to the drug. it medication may also cause skin thinning & discoloration. If any about these effects persist or worsen, inform some your physician. Skin infections can become worse when using it pill. Notify your healthcare professional if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly next side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or healthcare professional.
Texacort Precautions: do not use this drug near eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate & augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond two weeks consecutively is not recommended. do not use if there is an infection or sores present on the area to be treated. Though very unlikely, It's possible this pill will be absorbed into your bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true since children & for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this pill. Consult some your doctor or physician for more details. this medication must be used cautiously during pregnancy & only if clearly needed. Discuss benefits & risks with your pharmacist. Small amounts of this medication may appear in breast milk. Consult with your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Texacort med interactions: Tell you're doctor about all medications you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially of: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Texacort Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Texacort special notes: Inform all youre physicians you use (or have used) it med. do not share it tablet with others.
If you missed Texacort dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Texacort Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
